Principal Mason holds Leadership in Biliteracy award
 
At King-Chavez Preparatory Academy, we empower middle school students with a comprehensive foreign language program and multiple pathways to achieve the CA State Seal of Biliteracy, which is recognized as a statement of accomplishment by college admissions and employers. 
 
In May of 2023, Prep was honored at the 22nd Annual Leadership in Biliteracy Symposium hosted by the San Diego County Office of Education. The Leadership in Biliteracy Symposium provides an opportunity to spotlight educational leaders who are making a difference for students through demonstrated excellence in promoting biliteracy. Prep was awarded as one of the first middle schools in San Diego County to establish a Biliteracy Pathways Recognition program in the 2021-2022 school year.
